Southern Region
The Southern Region of Honduras borders the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Fonseca, offering a completely different ecosystem from the Caribbean coast. Valle
Valle department is located on the Pacific coast of Honduras, bordering the Gulf of Fonseca. The department includes the Tigre Island (Isla del Tigre) and extensive mangrove systems.
